Drum # 3
I made this drum from the heartwood of a hollowed out log of Wild Cherry. the walls of the drum are 3/4" thick, and it stands 12" tall. It has stretched Rawhide on both ends...the heads are 9 1/2" across, Rawhide lacing ( that I cut ) in between the heads ...Great sound!!! Real hard to come by Wild Cherry heartwood this big. A real Collectors piece. ( handmade beater included ).

Gourd # 24
This gourd is a big one...standing 9 1/2" tall x 12" wide...inlayed with 14 pieces of Diamond shaped Turquoise ( Real Turquoise ) then ground down flush with the surface of the gourd and polished to a high gloss. all designs were drawn on then wood burned in, color added is Leather Dye, two shades of brown.
